None here seems to have gotten the idea of wearing a collar in full-wolf form as a way to disarm people. Any other form'd look stupid, but if you wore a collar as a full wolf it'd make people thing "huh, what a big doggy!" and no "OH GOD, A WOLF!" If you behave like a dog you can fly below the radar, so to speak, if you have some little flowery soppy looking collar, if you look like some pampered pet.

Hmmm- Collar as camouflage? That might work. Of course you'd need the appropriate license tags and rabies vaccination, too.
Add in a nametag; like "Fluffy" or "Cuddles", and you'd be good to go; unless the other members of your pack found out...

I had been working with the idea in my writing for years, as something my characters might wear in the 24th or 25th century. Looks like I'm not the only one to have the idea.

Granted, it almost instantly brings to mind images of Captain Kirk or Buck Rogers, captured by the sexy villainess, getting shocked and making silly expressions to the tune of cheesy sound effects whenever he refuses her advances.

Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...

That is one interesting collar and yeah you better have vaccination and name, address and telephone number of boyfriend or girlfriend. I don't think your parents will believe they've had a dog in the family this whole time and not even know it was in your bedroom. hint hint YOU!!!!

I am the one who whispers in the dark,
I am the eyes of your soul,
I am the shield,
I am the sword.

I am the eyes of your soul,
I am the shield,

Must not have read my response then. :pKzinistzerg wrote:None here seems to have gotten the idea of wearing a collar in full-wolf form as a way to disarm people. A red bandana worn as a collar would probably look much better. No need for tags and stuff. (It looks really cool on austrailian cattle dogs.)

yes.....but.....not everyone has a wolf as a pet. If you saw a lion wearing a collar walking the street, would you call it over?MoonKit wrote:Mine either.Ansuru wrote:Must not have read my response then. :pKzinistzerg wrote:None here seems to have gotten the idea of wearing a collar in full-wolf form as a way to disarm people. Yeah...but a lion is much more distinguishable to the average Joe from a housecat than a Wolf would be from, say, a very large husky, malamute, or mix of some similar breeds....especially if it's behaving like a dog.Figarou wrote:yes.....but.....not everyone has a wolf as a pet. You mean as in "All Werewolves must be married and have regular jobs".Ansuru wrote:Yeah, move to Canada before they introduce a Were Marriage Amendment
That kind of Marriage amendment? Does the Werewolf get to choose, or is his mate drawn by lot?
With my luck, I'd get the Rozanne Barr look-alike.
