Hopefully no one gets mad at me for this?
I noticed we werent on Wikipedia, so I created an article for us.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pack_%28Community%29
I pretty much just took the info on the home page and put it there as a start, if anyone would like to help with the article, since im too occupied to go clean it up, that would be great. (Question mark?)
Baha, forgive my stupidity if this wasnt supposed to happen.

Cool! One quick note- several of us have read the script. Tony made it available for review a while back.

That's cool - Wikipedia removed lots of webcomics, hopefully community info pages won't suffer anything similar...

Freeborn has at least been on the
WikiFur and
Wikipedia for awhile.
To anyone asking, I'm assuming Spongy here can't mind if anyone edits the Pack page -- This
is Wikipedia, after all. We're all allowed to edit the page, and I can trust that everyone here can agree on what goes on it.
The collaborated effort of us all may help to give it a format more similiar to most other WikiArticles, too, which would be a big help for those unfamiliar with
Freeborn and
The Pack and are not able to wade through too much information.

I don't mind at all if anyone wants to edit the article, so feel free too.
It's incredibly messy at the moment, so if it remains unedited by The Pack by the weekend, ill probably go in and mess around with it myself to clean it up a bit.
Have fun with this!

I added a little bit myself. And yes, the information is great on the article, I just think it would be more pleasing and convenient to others if the information could be seperated into related sections.

Well think about it. If thers a Wikipedia which has everything including furries, why would there be a wikifur thats just for furries?

Well, there's a lot more to furries than "We like anthro animals", for one. It's also a lot easier to find furry specific information (like on fursuiting, art, conventions, etc.) on WikiFur than to wade through everything in Wikipedia, which is much larger.
I corrected the link to the forum on WikiFur, by the way. It was still going to the old address.

Ahh too conventional if you ask me. Everyone wants it easy, searching is half the fun.

Shadow Wulf, you know the n00bs can't use the search feature.

I added my two cents worth,
I started the "Inside the community section" If anything is wrong, your you wish to add more. By all means go ahead! I REALLY RECOMMEND IT!
I felt that fig deserved a paragraph, since he is the admin and contributed a lot to this place.

Basically because Wikipedia seems to want to start being a Proper Reference Guide instead of the sort of place that has a predominance of articles on things that interests internet sort of people. Like how they've been getting rid of articles about web comics. Pardon my cynicism about this; I just think it's a bit of a shame, that's all, losing touch of what they were on the way to being originally.
But anyway... Wikipedia is just one Wiki. As I understand it, the code which runs wikis is open source so anyone with the programming ability and web space can set one up. There are Wikis on subjects more obscure than you could imagine... one of them is background for an alternate-history project has something like about 50 participants, including people like me who only ever did one quick burst of proof-reading on the wiki (and my sole contribution to the project was a couple of emails...)
So it's no surprise that the Furry community has their own specialist Wiki... I'd be more surprised if they
didn't.

There's a Redwall Wikipedia too. (Redwall is a book series. Very childish in the later ones but if you can get past that, it is a brilliant series for all ages. Except overly happy creatures in Redwall...grrrr...older books were better).

Anyhow this is a cool article

Glad to see one up and running! Pity I cannot think of anything to add.
Except maybe a link if Anthony wants, to the shirts he is selling?

I think all mention of furries ( and the word anthropomorphic ) should be removed from the PACK descriptions on Wikipedia. Two different things guys. Anthropomorphic has now been permanently labeled with furries, and whether you like it, believe it, or not, furries have made themselves a very bad reputation. ( not all, don't lose your minds. keep reading )
If you want the pack to have ANY legitimacy as a vehicle to getting decent werewolf movies made ( and by decent, I mean good films, with good stories, that can be seen in a theater ) you'll try and disassociate the PACK from the furry fandom. ( Don't take this as some statement that I dislike furries. I don't hate anyone. But I can't tell you how many people I've tried to tell about my own werewolf film, who immediately ask, in a suspicious and FEARFUL tone...
"This isn't one of those furry films, is it?"
I FIRMLY believe, that because of this reputation, most people now associate werewolves permanently with furry fandom. You wonder why it's so hard to get a werewolf movie made, or why there are far more vampire movies than werewolf movies?
BINGO.
And while it's not the only reason, it's a big one. I have seen really good animal-themed movies turned down by executives because they thought it was "Some f*****-up furry project" Why, even the other day, when I made my pitch to that new studio i can'tmention just yet, the FIRST thing i was asked was "This isn't a talking animal movie, is it?" thank God a werewolf movie features humans, otherwise, i might have had to say "well...sorta"
It sucks that some people have to be so stupid and ignorant, but it happens. I've seen it firsthand.

Matt, to your mentioning about furries: I completely understand what you're shooting at here. But this is a wiki article about a community, not the Movie Freeborn itself. And, last I checked, The Pack forums are filled with various people that would call themselves furries, and people who wouldn't.
