That's quite an old short film, but still very cool. I have the DVD. The director was the man that did the special effects for the Alien movies. Should I vid capture the "In the making" video for you guys? It's really interesting.

the dude doesn't have any real super powers. He just have some moves and some cool toys. So Jacky Chan with a swiss army knife and some throwing knives can do the same same stuff he can do.

Now if we are talking about a superhero that can pwn them all is superman. That is because he was allegedly "dead" numberous times and came back alive, and has the ability to see through ladies underware with x-ray vision.

That is why Batman is so cool. In both the DC and Marvel universes there are countless winners and losers with crazy super powers that are all fighting over who is the best...but Batman...he doesn't NEED powers. His power is his intelligence. He knows what to do, and he's prepared for just about anything at any given moment.

The Cool thing about Batman is...you could put that suit, with all his fancy gadgets on any regular human, or even a super one (or Jackie Chan) and throw them out into the world of Super Heroes and Super Villains and they would likely die pretty quickly. ...but BATMAN doesn't.

It's not the Suit or The Tools...it's the fact that HE is so freakn' good at using them, even against seemingly impossible odds.

...because he's BATMAN.

Making Of... Featurette.

And it seems the official release date of the short film was July 2003. Earlier than I thought. This movie inspired Alien vs. Predator.

Alien vs. Predator was a franchise long before 2003.

Indeed it was, and Batman Dead End was based off of it. But it pushed the creation of the AvP movie to happen. Dead End provided the demographics that proved that fans liked that kind of stuff. AvP was only a video game and comic book before then. I suppose I should have said Dead End pushed AvP into a movie production.

On topic, though: I was highly impressed when I saw this last year. Especially considering the fact that the guy wears the original Batman costume without looking like a total idiot.
