"AMV Hell 3: The Motion Picture" was the only one to ever make me laugh.

Some good clips from the film:

And now... the full hour and a half video. Better set some time aside for this one. Once the hilarity starts, you can't turn it off.

I strongly recommend AMV Hell 3, but I also strongly recommend finding a place where you can download it and watch it at your leisure. I love it, but I could never watch it all in one sitting.

I keep getting a "searching is currently unavailable" message so I can't locate some of the good ones I know of. I already had this one bookmarked though.

I ment "you can't turn it off" in a different context. It's so hilarious you can't help but not hit the pause/stop button. You CAN download it from Google Video. I did, and stuck it on a DVD so I can watch it with my friends, whom also laughed till they crapped.

That's what I recommend.

First, there are some AMVs that I just think are annoying (namely the long ones) and have to skip. And second, there are even more AMVs that I can rewind and play again over and over again.

In other news, here are some other good non-AMV Hell AMVs:

Cowboy Bebop - Stress
Avatar - The Blue/Pink Panther
Happy Feet - Shake That
Advent Children - Parabola

Also, if you liked AMV Hell 3, you might like the Cloud's Dream series. Just be warned, to the best of my knowledge, only the first three are real (the others are posers by different people):

Cloud's Dream
Cloud's Dream - The Sequel
Cloud's Dream - The Finale

The "long and annoying" AMVs in AMVH3 had a point to them. Like this one. You wouldn't get it unless you saw the award winning music video it was based on that used the same camera style. It's point was a play on the footage from that video in question. Very nice eye candy to boot. Doesn't have to be funny, but it can be clever, right? Sometimes you have to dig into pop culture to understand some things.

And, no... not all of my friends crapped themselves when they saw AMVH3.

That's actually not one of the ones I was thinking of (although if you can find it, the AMV right after that one is one of my favorites). In a lot of the AMVs (mostly by the guy represented by the bullfighter icon), I get the joke within the first second, but the AMV goes on much longer than needed. When that happens, I feel like I'm being made fun of, like the person that made the AMV is pounding the punchline down over and over again to make sure I get it. Word of advice from an aspiring comedian, the absolute last think you want to do is tell a joke and then ask your audience if they got it or not.
