Finaly, that was so odd how the bandwidth just reached its limits all of a sudden, I didnt see this coming. I guess we are drawing more attention.

Hmm Could it also be all the links and images that people are hosting it here and linking it to other sites that are taking up the banwidth?

I hope it happened because we are just becoming more popular, and not because of a denial of service attack or some such thing. Hopefully, we can be told what it was soon.

I heard about DOS attacks. But I think we just had a flood of new people since we started posting photo manipulations.

I was told that our bandwidth will be extended once we renew the contract.

Gasp!

It was horrible! I had to use MySpace! :cryeyesout: I went into withdrawal, and I was seeing marching duckies in the ad banners!

They don't have to join to waste bandwidth. One simple visit is all it takes. Member or non-member.

Thank the wolven gods and goddesses! (How lame of me I know)

The one time I get photos of me in a werewolf costume, which are funny, and the site's down. Plus, I missed this place, and I -never- like messageboards so that's a real good thing.

It means you guys are friendly :D

Glad it's back up. I haven't been here long enough for withdrawal sympotoms, but I really don't care. The internet can be a boring place.

Okay, Figarou; please don't Duckie-bomb me, but I never noticed that the site was down...there were other interesting things happening then, and I wasn't even going online....being busy trying to not die...
As for Reality: it is the Gods' punishment for those who are too lazy to invent a pleasant fantasy for themselves.
One of the things I've been warned of that can cause bandwidth excessing is lurkers: People that don't bother registering or anything...they just lurk and eat up bandwidth doing so.
There is one Werewolf website that requires you to register and make at least one post: WWW.Peteristhewolf.com. Perhaps something like that would work here...although it is mostly for SPAM control.
So...I didn't miss you, but I am glad you're back, anyway. :howl: :oo

They'd use up the same amount of bandwidth lurking as they would if they registered. Bandwidth usage is a function of hits, and document sizes, and not much else. (Bandwidth usage varies directly with both document size and page request rates.)

Thanks, Figarou; we older folks are grateful for such kindnesses.
