would you tell anyone?
If you were a werewolf would tell any one and show him/her? would you tell your parents, spouse, girl/boy friend or any stranger in the street? how would you tell them and prove it? and would you or would you not and why?
I would tell my parents and my spouse. I can't keep some thing like that from them. If they reject me, fine. but if accept me that would make my bond with them stronger (i know that sounds corny, but its the truth)
how i would tell them first I'll flat out tell them. them give them some kind proof, then show them my wolven side. and hope that they don't freak out too much.

I chose "No way!" because my current loved ones haven't proven very trustworthy in the past, but I do acknowledge that, sooner or later, the secret will come out wether I like it or not.
I'd just be careful about who it comes out to. I'd like to think I'd tell you guys here at the Pack first, but. . . Well, first and foremost, it's online for everyone to read, and secondly, wouldn't most of you only agree to keep it a secret if a bit you first?

I'm generally an honest person, at least in my interpersonal relationships. I'd tell my mate (if I had one) and my mom, but everyone else would be strictly on a "need to know" basis. And I'd judge at least 99% of people as coming under the "they don't need to know that" heading.
I'm pretty sure my mom would deal with it. At the very least she'd live with it if not exactly approve, more or less the same way she deals with me being a Pagan. We're really close so I'd trust her. Less so with my brother and biological sister.

Well, my immediate family, parents and brother, hardly batted an eye when I quite shakily told them about my therianthropy, and all in all we're pretty close, so yea, I would tell them at least. Heck, in my brothers case I'd do it just to annoy him. Who's the stronger sibling now, dobe?

Do we really need the solution? Couldn't we just enjoy the problem for now?

Honey, I'm human!
It would be a difficult, if not impossible, secret to keep from my wife.
"I'm going out, I'll be back in three days."
"The woods again?"
"Uh... yes."
"What's going on with you?"
"Well, uh... I'm... uh, a drug dealer, and I'm having an affair."
"Well, OK, as long as you're not a werewolf or something."
Not to mention one theory about how it can be transmitted from person to person besides through bite--which would kind of force the issue, and bring about some rather long and involved conversations, the likes of which would make the toilet seat position issue seem outright dinky.

Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...

If I had reasonable controll over myself, I would keep it on a "Need to know" basis. I would try to keep it a secret for as long as I could, but would not deny it if anyone found out...though I would urge them to not spread that information around, or have a hysterical fit about it.
Eventually, I imagine that the truth would get out to everyone and I'd have to adjust my lifestyle even more so as to not totally freak people out.
...I seriously doubt that I would "convert" others unless there was a really good reason to do so. In fact...I think I would probobly lie and say that I couldn't pass it on...even if I really could...just so that would not become an issue. ...pretend that it was a freak genetic abnormality, rather than a contagious state of being.
On the other hand, if it was the "goes berzerk on full moons" kind of lycanthropy, I would surrender myself to be locked up...because I care about those around me too much to put them at risk.

If I found out it was the "freak-out RAGE" kind of lycanthropy, I'd cut all my ties and get my hiney out to the woods. 'Way out in the woods, like a national wilderness.
It would be interesting to see what the effect of "going native" would be on a "freak-out" type of werewolf. Who knows? They might mellow out and stabilize. D'you think the freaking out might be due to information insanity by being immersed in civilization? I would imagine a sensitive/perceptive creature with heightened senses would go berserk in a city.

I'd tell my folks and my brother. Heck, my brother would probably beg me to bite him so he can go and eat his ex-wife.
Wait, no...maybe not my mom. She'd get that 'worried mom' look every time I loose my temper, more so than she does now. Dad would want me to prove it.
Husband...well, he'd just shrug and say something to the effect of "Tell me something I don't already know."

Tell people? TELL PEOPLE?!! I'd do more than that, I'd spread my gift around like wildfire.
Assuming that new werewolves might not know that they are new werewolves until the first full moon forces them to shift, I would go into the parking lot of every major shopping center in town and lick all the car door handles. I would do this a day or two after the full moon was over, that way I would have nearly a month to wreak my havoc before anyone was the wiser. Heck, I'd probably have the whole town (and then some) covered, if lycanthropy could be transmitted that way.
Why would I do this? ....Why not? If all of a sudden, a town full of people turned into werewolves, it wouldn't exactly be a strange thing anymore. It would almost be normal. Then, I wouldn't have to keep my werewolfism a secret. I could enjoy it out in the open. I could 'come out of the closet' so to speak.
I could do this to multiple towns. Right before the full moon, I could leave the original town and go to anothe one, and start the process anew right after the full moon in a new town.
Before you know it, we'd ALL be werewolves.
I would take special care to convert churches full of religious fanatics, most likely while all their cars are parked outside the church during the service. Though the majority of Christians and conservatives would be accepting, there are a handful of notable churches I'd like to deal with. After all, I don't think they would condemn themselves.

Aside from my gf, it would be strictly 'Need-to-know' basis really..
...and of course, I'd post of pics of myself shifted (and shifting if I could manage it) as 'really cool WW pictures I found on the net' or something just so I could secretly laugh my head off at you guys or something.
...
Though, now that I said that, you'd probably catch me pretty quick-like. <_<
Then the need-to-know basis would apply to my family when a bunch of WW fans appear on my doorstep looking for bites.

I would only tell my girlfriend and a few of my friends... my family wouldn't be able to handle it... Hell, my mom still sees it as a curse... that's something about me that the don't need to know... just like my therianthropy...
I think my girlfriend would probably want me to convert her, seeing as how she's a therian and werewolf fan too..

i would tell because it would allow me to sever bonds more easily. i would be able to leave my family after telling them, and showing them, why i should leave. then they would have no reason to follow mewhen i DID leave.

i'm just stating what i know and what i think, if you don't like it, you can leave me alone.
i am the well-read werewolf

It would be pretty hard not to do Something on here. I'd at the very least make a new name and rave about my physical transformations . Then maybe provide the truth that's always asked for after a few my "camera is broken" excuses.
