You've obviously never been around hooved animals before. They, like any creature with a mouth, can and will bite if they feel the need.Shaun wrote:Llama teeth marks in the bone!? I too thought kicking was about the extent of their fighting ability. Wow
I've had cattle for a few years now, but that's about the only experience I've had with hooved animals beside sheep, but they're pretty docile. I was amazed not that the llama bit, but that the bite was so powerful. I've never really been around horses, but I don't doubt that they could do the same if they had teeth like that.Reilune wrote:You've obviously never been around hooved animals before. Well just think about what they eat for a minute. Get yourself a piece of hay and start chewing on it. It's almost like trying to bite through a wooden board. They need strong jaw muscles to chew their food.Shaun wrote: I was amazed not that the llama bit, but that the bite was so powerful.
