I just found out about this browser, and its really much better then IE, Safari, or anything else. And the loading times are far less worse then in IE.

Both browsers has thier ups and downs.

If you go to my site with IE, ( http://www.figarou.com/main.html ) your cursor will change to different items when you move it over the pictures and logos. It doesn't work with Firefox.

Indeed. I highly recommend Firefox (and Thunderbird, too).

Not trying to be offensive here, but I think that the only reason that something not activex-related would work in IE and not firefox is because IE lets you get away with bad code, whereas firefox requires syntax/etc to be exact. I've been to several sites with firefox that change my cursor (I consider this to be an annoyance and not a feature, but each to his own), and it works fine.

@Morkulv: Hehe, I thought everyone knew about firefox. Its main benefit is the lack of gaping security holes

The only major downside with Firefox is that, as Figarou mentioned, some programs refuse to work with Firefox (or anyting other than Explorer for that matter).

So whenever Bill Gates threw a temper tantrum in the development of necessary software, I'll use Explorer. Otherwise, I'm a Firefox user to the bitter end.

A lot of those sites can be fooled into thinking that you're running IE by changing the user agent.

This and this are the main reasons I use firefox.

I've been on Firefox for the past several months, actually. I'm on it even now. I've even booted up in Linux a few times and used it. Not surprisingly, I haven't found a version of IE for Linux. I guess Microsoft hasn't figured out how to compile RPMs.

or ebuilds, or .debs, or autopackages, or tgzs... hey, maybe there's a reason corporations always have trouble releasing Linux software? (don't get me wrong, I use Linux whenever possible too. I'm just frustrated by the inconsistancy of package management.)
