One problem with skipping grades is it affects your social makeup, (at least when your younger) if you cant relate to the kids nomatter how smart you are you may become antisocial, and that would SUCK 
I would have LOVED to skip 1st grade, and the school system would have let me but im already younger than everyone else, and that does effect some things. I would hate to be 2 years younger, that would just make things that much worse
