LIES!! If your saying that poping pimples causes scars or holes then this is a false statement that some scientist have made. Its the other way around....if you leave a pimple sitting there untill it goes away or if you wait too long to pop it then the bacteria in there will eat away the meat and will cause wholes in your face. I know this from experience and from regular people, not from what some white coat idiot thinks he knows what hes doing.

I think a lot of it depends on how you pop the pimple. For example, I usually use a hot needle. Some people, however, squeeze it with their fingernails or scrape the whole pimple off. I think a properly popped pimple will prevent permanent scarring.

Yes most of it is how you pop it. I wait untill its ready when I see some of the puss on the bump, then I just sqeeze it, people porbably use thier finger nail and that is an improper way, I know that from experience.

Popping pushes the bacteria futher into the skin, which is what causes the scarring.

Well considering that my mother has some scarring from popped pimples, I do, and several of my friends do as well, I doubt you have any idea what you're talking about.

White coat idiot? These people are poeple who worked hard in school and got scholarships, then went to colledge where they have to also work hard, my Stepmom is working to be a Neuroscienctist and I may become that too, I know shes working hard. These poeple work hard and study. 'Idiot' is the word to describe someone who tries to call hard working sceincetists that.

Now, I will admit I'm not into the eggheads who spend all this money trying to do time travel, I will have to say that listening to some people I can sit there, laugh, and disprove all their theorys. I'm not into some of the things they do, such as the classification system for ungulates is stupid, I think they're changing it though (that, or I'll have to do it!). Yet truly, they're smart people.

I pop with nails, no scarring

You doubt that I know what im talking about? thats an insult, you just know things that isnt so lupin.... I lived in 3 different states and movied over 14 times and most people agree that not poping pimples can create holes in your face, I even have evidence, infact I have 1,000s of evidence. My mom and dad for 2 and several of my friend aswells as thier dads. by not poping pimples then your asking for an infection. And if you say that if you poping pimples pushes the blod further into your skin creates scarring then that means you not poping it right.

Oh and outwarddoodle, sorry about the white coat idiot comment, I shoud have rephrase that, I meant the scientist who said that poping pimples creates holes in your face is obvousely a moron.

None of that has anything to do with pimples.

That's just anecdotal evidence. I'm suppose to believe someone who has a bit of anecdotal evidence over a doctor who has gone to school specificly to study what my skin does? Sorry, no. That just doesn't make any sense.

Other factors to consider are that some people scar much easier than others. All in all, I'd say not popping is better than popping, but if you pop it carefully and you have a predisposition toward not scarring, then you'd be ok.

Yeah i know i scar from it. They just hurt so much Its the ape in us that makes us scour our skin the way we do. I mean look at all the grooming they do this is where all of our little quirks come from. Why can't we be wolves that just clean ourselves with our tounge ummm on second thought maybe not...

I left my pimples alone before and did you know what happen? I had holes where the pimples were before, cause I believed in the doctor. But after poping it, I had never had holes. Why listen to a single person rather than a large percentage of the people. Almost everyone at my school agrees on poping pimples.You know this could also depend on race, from what my dad told me before that alot of white people scar easier, while others dont, this could be the reason why doctors says that.

Because that one person is a doctor. You'll come to understand this when you're older: High school students are dumb as hell, and there aren't many exceptions (I wasn't one.) You may not think you are now, but once you get older you'll realize that all of the things you did back then were dumb.

Yes alot of high school students are idiots but some of us are actually smart. And I know Ill think that I did some dum thing when im older cause I did some dum things when I was at middle school. But poping pimples is not a dum thing, it is a smart thing, Not every little thing that scientist say is 100% accurate, sometimes the people are right.

Yep, I consider those one of the 'Stupid people don't know how stupid they really are.' things. I find them true for myself (and fear all the time that that isn't me!) at times, and alot of times for others. Alot of immature people seem to think they're as smart as can be. Heck, I know I did it, last year I beleive I got the 'I'm the best, everyone else is stupid' mentallity, only for me now to know I had fit the 'stupid people don't know how stupid they really are' phrase. I never know, maybe I'm stupid, maybe everyone on the computer screen here rolls their eyes at my posts, while I may be thinking I'm a smartie. (Yuummm....smarties.)Though I'm pretty confident that now that I always think things through, that I'm a good thinker.

Cmon, we shouldnt call people stupid, really people. The trouble with our liberal friends is not that theyre ignorant. It's just thay know so much that isnt so.
