Human women are the only creatures that regularly bleed for five days without dying, get wet without water, and can make boneless meat hard.
(....not exactly a fact, but pretty funny anyway.

This one doesn't have to do with food, but it has bugs!

The park that houses the Tomb of the Unknown Solider Monuement in Center City PA ( Historic District ) was recenlty re-built up as people's dogs were digging up human remains. heh. Artifacts from teh Revolutionary and Civil Wars were being dropped off at teh Art Museum, and some were found in auctions. Things like rings ( and finger bones ), belt buckles, boots ( and leg bones ), human femurs..., heh.
Apparenetly the entire park was the yard for the Debtor's Prision ( who's facade and barred windows still stand ). This yard was th eonly place they could bury the dead prisoners. Some Hussian soliders are also burried here.
Intresting extra tidbit, the Hussian Soliders are burried face down with their feet pointed into the air. The going superstition was that the soul left the body and headed in teh direction the face, faced.
;)
So Americans were senidng the Hussian where they felt they belonged. To that warm toasty place.

I always thought this was pretty funny. Whoever named it had a weird sense of humor. I can just see it now, some guy with that condition:
"For many years, I have suffered from...AAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"
I've also always thought it was humorous that people who have a lisp can't actually say 'lisp'. The first speech therapists were rather devious.

I don't know if this inculds 1945 but back then batheing was considered unhealthy as they said it would wash away the oils that protect you. People would only bathe a couple times, if not maybe just once, a year.
Of all the words in the English language only three start with 'dw'.
Of all the words in the English Dictionary the word 'set' has the most definitions.
