Suddenly another howl joined the eerie howls of the ghosts, but this one was clear and part of this world. No words could be heard, but the howl spoke of mind's clarity and the strenght of the garou. It spoke of bravery and the promise of a glorious fight with a taleworth victory to be sung after.
The song's origin couldn't be located. It layed all around the place of this deadly battle and comforted the garou - yet are capable of filling the enemie's heart with fear.
Slowly the melody changed - more urging now - a howl for all to join the fight as a whole. A howl directed to the hearts of those who still hesitated. A howl for those who wanted hope.

Forest-Wolf growled and felt some energy pass through his body. Standing up, he got into an attack stance, looking at the hunter.

Bright-Howl restrengthened her resolve and lifted her black muzzle to the night sky answering the war howls of the garou her howl was filled with a power that belied her appearing age. She once again charged at her enimie with a fire in her eyes.

The hopegiving and dreadful melody of the howl changed again - now turning into a song of ferocious triumph. It became more and more thrilling - urging the garou to kill. Urging them to take revenge for those garou who were slain by this now doomed hunter.

Lone-walker feels her claws cut into...NO... through the body... nothing but air...
Bright-howl feels her song waver as the hot air rushes into het lungs, cutting of her breath....
Forest-Wolf lunges again from his newfound attack stance and is met with scalding hot air...
Menthion felt his body become pure, white energy... no flesh, no blood, not sinew or bone was left... just the radiance of the one true element... he pushed his force outwards, scorching all that stood around him, all helpless to resist...
He could sense the fear of the she-wolf as her hand went through him and instantly burned down to the bare flesh, boils and burns rapidly forming. He could taste the anger of the other female wolf, as her insides were scalded by the intense heat... and the other young one who was struck back by wave after wave of heat, causing his pelt... no, all their pelts to singe and curl...
Dark-moon, his old enemy lay on the ground, seemingly knocked down by the first blasts of heat and fire... Menthion smiled. A pity he would collect no pelts... their skulls would have to do...
Soon the howls and threats of the struggeling werewolves became cries of pain as each one of them caught fire... screaming and flayling wildly around, they thrashed to extuinguish the flames, hoping that would save them... Menthion nearly pitied the fools... he preferred giving clean death, but alas...
And then... their movements stopped...The sorcerer carefully let slip his hold on the energy, the white glare slowly being reduced to nothing, ready to gloat over the bodies of his foes...
The first thing Menthion saw when he opened his eyes where two huge Blood-coloured eyes set above a very healthy and un-burnt muzzle... his cracked lips formee a curse as he realised he had been tricked... it must have been the ghost-pack... it couldn't.... it....
Dark-moon just smiled and nodded his head to the anxious young wolves that stood ready to tear the man to shreds.... each was slightly burned and had been caught in the blast before the Ghost-Pack had been able to intervene and draw away the spirits of fire that Menthion had summoned with his magic.... The vengefull spirits of the now-dead victims of de hunter had done the rest and made him relive THEIR deaths once again... so the trap was complete...
*wolf-speech* Thank you Sister... take the pack back to the homelands.... I will join you shortly...
Dark-Moon turned away as the up-kept rage of his three newfound companions was unleashed upon the whipering human... soon, nothing but ripped flesh and broken bone remained...

Lone-Wolf held her injured hand and stepped back so they could have their fun with the human. she didn't care. She dug in the ground for a pack she had burried in case of emergiancys. Bringing it out she wrapped her hand quickly and turned to the others.

Forest-Wolf turned to his human form and nodded to Bright-Howl with a smile. "He's dead." Walking to Lone-Wolf, he sat down. "You okay?"

After the hunter’s death a joyful and again ferocious howl aroused, announcing this glorious victory to the night. It spoke of the finally executed revenge that was sought by the howler and the ghosts that came to take it. The garou’s song clearly sent a respectful thank to the ghosts who came to help and a respectful gratulation to the fighters. After a short while the howl went silent — as if the garou that had howled suddenly had lost its voice.
Some time after this the howl aroused again. This time it was bare of all ferocity and it sounded creaky. This time it could be clearly located and it carried words that were directed to the garou standing over the dead body of the hunter:
*wolf-speech*
I have smelled your territory, bold fighters and now I’m asking for
Permission to enter it! Hopefully you enjoyed my song, brave garou!
The howl ended again abruptly and the garou at the battle-site could clearly hear that the foreigner had problems to keep the voice audible.

Bright-Howl turned back into her human form and walked away a bit. She seemed at a loss knowing this wasn't the end of her battle but merly a chapter. Her warm honey colored eyes looked up at the moon and a small smile graced her lips.

Forest-Wolf watched Bright-Howl and began to speak.
"I don't know how we did it. But, we defeated him."
Looking to the ground, he smiled. Ocassionally looking at Lone-Wolf's hand.

Bright-Howl seemed oblivious to the others watching her. Her throat ached from the heat and her insides felt charred but she was otherwise whole and unbroken. She kept her gaze cast upwards almost as if she was expecting the moon to come crashing down in a pile on endless dust.

Forest-Wolf stood up and walked over to Bright-Howl. Moving next to her, he began to speak.

Bright-Howl drawn out of her thoughts looked to Forest-Wolf with a half smile. "Yeah, I guess I just never realized that one day it would be over. The end of him." The wind blew through her hair her eyes seemed to hold a silent hurt one that she may not even be aware of.

Forest-Wolf nodded and looked at her. "I feel that someone other than those ghosts helped us defeat him somehow. Morning will come soon. I'm going to get some rest." He walked over to a tree and sat down.

Bright-Howl walked over and sat next to Forest-Wolf. "Did you ever have seconds thoughts about wanting to become a werewolf?"

"Well, at times I did." He shifted his position a little and began to speak again. "I knew that if it ever happened, my life would never be the same. I chose this path. And I will need to learn to adapt."

"Don't worry you will. Especialy since you chose it." A flicker of sadness crosses her eyes then is gone. "I wanted to thank you for what you did tonight."

Forest-Wolf smiled at her and sighed.
"I care about my friends. And whenever you need help, i'll be there."
He looked to the sky as it became a blackish-blue color as morning approached.
