Nuf' sed.
On Topic: Saw Disney's Beauty and the Beast again a few days ago. I was thinking, the Beast would make a pretty good ww, without the horns though I love the way he can change the way he walks quite easily and naturaly looking. On two legs one moment, then charging on all fours. I like to think of gestalt ww's moving sortof like that as well

I'd give Beast my utmost respect if his legs weren't so skinny.Silverclaw wrote:On Topic: Saw Disney's Beauty and the Beast again a few days ago. Wouldn't you give beast your utmost respect anyway, after all, you did see what he did to bedroom right? Imagine what he could do to you.
( I like it, i like it.)
Anyway, i agree with the both of you. He's legs are to skinny to support him.

No what you have are bullets in the hope that when your guns are empty I'm no longer standing. Because if I am, you'll all be before you've reloaded.

I think running on fours will give them more speed than if they are on two. As for the legs. I think they will be on their fours most of the time unless they want to reach for something which they cant reach or they want to use their claws during a fight than they will be on two.
A healthy woman is much like a wolf: Both social creatures, longing for pack mates, intelligent, communicative, wild, gentle, playful, capable of great strength, fiercely loyal, territorial, and beautiful.
Two Legs or Four ?

What about endurance? Wouldn't a human, walking on two legs, be able to outlast a wolf? Bipedal locomotion would be much better for covering long distances, especially in hot weather.

It's diffferent from person to person. Or wolf to person. Some times a person might have more endurance than a wolf or some (Most of) the time the wolf has more endurance than a man. As for bipedal locomotion would be much better for covering long distances, especially in hot weather. It normaly depends how far it is plaing to go during that type of weather. Also, a werewolf will most likely shift to it's wolf form so to avoid getting spoted by anyone if it is planing to move around alot.

If you're walking where you might be seen, then two legs are safer than four: in bad light humans see what isn't there. A coat and hat and poor light, you're just some stranger.
Climbing a slope, you'd go to four legs; even smoothskins do that. Wolves have "all the time four wheel drive", so to speak.
Werewolves have to be practical: Hiding in plain sight requires two legs, unless they are on a leash. Running away from people is decidedly a four leg situation: they're faster that way. The real Wolves can hit a steady thirty mph when they run full speed, and I expect a Werewolf could go a bit faster (especially if they are being chased by someone). They could turn a lot faster, too, on all fours.

I would also think running on four legs would be a lot more stable, specially if your making rapid changes of direction.
I can't help thinking about the spine though. Human spines are adapted for bipedal, but it's a compramise even in a full human. It's really ment to be an arch, not a column. We've adapted curves into it to help stand upright but it's still not a good design for it. I can't help thinking how hard it would be on something that's now halfways back to what is normally a four legged creature.
Now if I can get the image of the big bad werewolf throwing his back out of where it's become lodged my head.....

Actually, the backbone isn't the problem. It's the muscles that support it that make the problem for uprights. They aren't exercised enough, and get weak, and then "Aouuuuu! my back! (to victim he's carrying) "You've put on some weight since we last did this, haven't you? Guess what: I ain't carrying you off anymore, from now on you have to walk!"
