EDIT: And it led me to this. That's page two, page one (you probably read it already, Midnight) was basically Thompson directly blaming Bill Gates for the deaths because Counter-Strike, a game that I don't think Microsoft is even involved in, was supposedly reported to be one of the shooter's favorite games. Page two? Basically, it says that they didn't even find any video games in his dorm room. Thompson was, as I suspected, just stirring up s*** to get people over to his side based on a horrible event. That's an awful, sick thing to do. At least the people trying to blame Oldboy had some sort of photographic evidence, even if they lacked the common sense to check if Oldboy was actually similar in any other ways.

Yeah, I browsed over to that while reading the article... I'd been shown the link by a friend a couple of days back and when you mentioned him I actually followed it and read the articles. I hadn't heard of this guy until a year or so back, if that... but he'd have to be one of the loonier loons around.

And as for cease-and-desist orders... oh for that Phelps creature to be next...

I wish news stations would look into this guy before letting him on and calling him an "expert" on anything. Hell, on the Today show, Matt Lauer called him a video game expert! The problem is that he's such an obscure celebrity lawyer that they don't catch onto his crap until later on. Even Lauer seemed to be annoyed by his rants. The best interviews with him are the ones where they've got another person with their own view on the subject, because they basically shoot down all of his arguments and he starts getting pissy and tries to interrupt the other guy, making his arguments look even weaker than they already did.

As for Fred Phelps, all I know about him is that he had a long rant about how Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart were going to hell because Stephen Colbert said "Good evening, godless Sodomites" at an awards show as a joke. So yeah, he sounds like he's along the same lines of crazy that Thompson is.

He's the one who leads protests at funerals (e.g. servicemen killed in Iraq) saying that they died because his god (which I don't for a minute believe is the same god that my mother prays to at church every Sunday) hates Americans because they don't send gays to the gas chambers. He's been reported as planning on leading a protest at the funerals of the people killed at Virginia last week. A thoroughly repugnant little man.

Oh... He's one of them... Doesn't he find it the least bit interesting that according to his view a man who preached peace and love wants him to spread hatred and death? Sounds a little iffy, if you ask me.

I don't care much for pancakes, I'm more of a waffle wolf. with a hole lot of maple syrup!!! almost driping of the plate.

I can't stand Maple Syrup. It's disgusting. I much prefer:

Buttermilk pancakes with loads of butter.
Swedish pancakes with either whipped cream, or ice cream. (Yes, ice cream. It's good.)

And I've never been much of a "waffle wolf"...if i may quote you there.
