Illegal Websites?

Post by Set »

...Oh, the things you'll find in the spam mail folder...

I just got a e-mail claiming to be from the CIA saying that I "visit illegal websites". What the hell does that mean? It had an attatchment with it, so I deleted it, assuming it was someone trying to sucker me into downloading a computer virus.

They're quite shameless aren't they?

Someone actually turned himself in for child porn when he got that email.

It'll just make people more paranoid than they already are.

And screw up their computers too.

It would cause more problems than it would solve, especially if they just sent it out to random people like these shameless hackers do. Sure, they might catch one or two dumb-as-hell NAMBLA guys, but more often than not they'd wind up with somebody that only has ebay and neopets bookmarked demanding a public apology or a lawsuit. There are more innocent people on the Internet than guilty.
