SoBe No Fear

Be forewarned though, the sugar free No Fear tastes repulsive.

Disgusting IMHO... I gotta show this to my bud who's allergic to wheat though, he might be interested.

Mine is Coka-Cola.

EDIT: Looks like Terastas beat me, I was referring to Fig. Sobe is good stuff.

I hardly ever drink them, but I love certain carbonated drinks. Coca-Cola is awesome, kicks Pepsi's a**. I also llloooovvvveeee Ginger Ale. It has this lovely burn to it. I also like Bolthouse farms juices, particularly carrot and green goodness. You can see them on this page: http://www.bolthouse.com/juice_main.html

You can buy Bolthouse juices at Walmart.

Also, my favorite brand of water is Dasani.

Coca-Cola, especially the kind in glass bottles. Then black tea.

Creme Soda is another of my faves.

And I agree with Lupin, Coke is better in glass bottles. (So hard to find, though)

(Oh...and as much as I hate to say this, I've always wanted to give Gay Fuel a whirl. With the attention that gay guys give to detail, that stuff is bound to be good.)

*nods* Not my favorite, but probably what I drink more often than anything else. I sort of like the store brand at the local grocery store better than most major labels though -- I don't know if that's typical or a blessing though. :grinp:

Which store?...which brand? I'd like to know. I'm constatnly on the search for new fav's.

...on glass bottles: Yeah...all sodas taste the best from glass bottles. Cans are second best for flavor. However, I avoid plastic botles whenever possible. Plastic bottles DESTROY the flavor. Aluminum cans tend to keep the flavor the most PURE. ...but Glass seems to actually enhance the flavor somehow.

I've actually done comparative flavor testing on this...on my own time. Plastic bottles dillute and contaminate the flavor, while Glass seems to add something, and alluminum has almost no effect at all. Perfect flavor preservation.

My conclusions:

-Plastic should be avoided if you care about flavor.

-Get sodas in glass bottles whenever possible. (Best served straight from the bottle for maximum flavor)

-Cans are a suitable substitute if glass bottles are not available. (Best served poured into a chilled glass cup...though straight from the can is okay too.)

-Pouring from a plastic bottle into a frosty glass helps lessen the platicy taste a little...but not much.

...avoid "double glassing" though. Pouring from a glass bottle into a glass cup and then drinking it doubles the glass aftertaste... a subtle flavor that is good when you don't quite notice it, but becomes unpleasant when exagerated.

Here in Minnesota we have some A&W restaurants (often paired with a KFC) where you can order a rootbeer or a float in a frosty mug. I loved the idea so much, I bought a mug from them (with the logo on it) and use it almost every day.

[Funny story: My last two Birthdays, I went out to eat at a pizza place for dinner. Both times I ordered an entire pitcher of 1919 rootbeer, and both times I drank the whole thing myself. (My family and friends got their own drinks). ...I'm a regular sarsaparillaholic...]

Theres a place near me that's called 'The Root Beer Stand'. Great place, I love it, gives me nice memories, yet has GREAT chili dogs, and freshly brewed rootbeer. I love that place, I sometimes beg to go there.
lck

Rootbeer is goooood! (And I'm glad others agree!)

There's a place in Monroe (where I go to school and live) that still lets you buy glass bottled coke for a nickel. You can't take the bottles with you though.

It's called Biedenharn Museum and Gardens. It's this big old beautiful house with a lovely garden behind it. The family that lived there was one of the first to bottle coca-cola. Also, one of the women of the family was a famous opera or broadway star.

The garden behind the house is, in a word, stunning. It's like being in another world. That's also where the nickel coke machine is. Before you leave the garden, you have to put your empty bottle back, unfortunately. But, there's nothing like drinking coke from a glass bottle and traipsing around a beautiful garden.

Lately the local grocery store has been importing coke from mexico, and selling it here for $0.99/bottle. It comes in the glass bottles, and is made with real sugar instead of corn syrup. It tastes great.
