Hard Hats vs Rubber Duckies
I'm noticing that we have two distinct teams here on The Pack. The team that tries to protect youngins from being duckied with the application of hard-hats (or helmets), and the team that tries to bury new users in duckies before they get a hard hat.
Starting today, each team will score one point. Team members don't have to stay with, or even declare what team they're on. Only one point can be scored per new member. No mention of this will go into the introduction board.
Safety Team - 81
Ducky Team - 74

Wonderful! I love it!
I'll actually try and catch newbie threads as they pop up, now.

The Safety Team is horribly out numbered.

Coming from the guy who started the rubber duckie thing, who has a duckie in his avatar?
By the way, since when are duckies harmful? Besides this, I mean:

It's not a question of what the duckie is made of; it's how hard you throw it.

Re: Hard Hats vs Rubber Duckies
Okay, what constitutes as a win for a team? The number of Hardhats given vs Duckies thrown, or whoever reaches the n00b first?

Re: Hard Hats vs Rubber Duckies
If I'm interpreting it right, only one point will be awarded per day, and it goes to the first to reach a new pack member with either duckies or DuPS (Duckie Protection Systems).

Re: Hard Hats vs Rubber Duckies
You're close. Only one point per new user who introduces themselves in the Introduction forums. It is whatever reaches the new user first, ducky, or ducky protection system. This means, that if one user employs both in the same post, then it's whichever comes first will count for the point.

Done.
This will insure n00b's at least get a few words of greeting.

Hey. Spartan Helmets are a perfectly practical DuPS. Don't you dare forget them.

Anything that stops impacts and soaked fur can be considered as fair game, I'd say.
All we need now though are more new people, this new interaction between those who predate and those who protect is particularly entertaining, but new faces for sport seem to be thin on the ground. Pfoo. I might have to see if I can get any of my friends to drop by.

Re: Hard Hats vs Rubber Duckies
The two teams really do seem to have a wonderful synergy to them, don't they? It's interesting that neither has pulled ahead yet, and that knowingly or not, we continue to strike a perfect balance.

Re: Hard Hats vs Rubber Duckies
I expected the Duckie-team to outpace the hardhats, but it appears we have a few dedicated newbie protectors out there. I'm lovin' the air of competition here.

That's because newbies are tender, tasty, and not at all fatty. Of course we conniseurs of the n00b will protect our supply of delicacies!

And besides, we've got the sexy factor on our side. Think about it. What's cooler, duckies or Spartan Helmets?

At this rate, I might just have to switch over to the duckie team for a bit to give them some support!

No way, Vagrant! You're what's keepin' the Safety Team ahead.
(o'course, I'm starting to pity the Duckie Team myself...)

Oh, I can't take all the credit here, I've seen you and a few others beating me to the punch. I do get a few in, but that's only because I've been hanging around these forums so much of late.outwarddoodles wrote:No way, Vagrant! You're what's keepin' the Safety Team ahead.
Well, you could back up the duckie team if you like. Loyalties aren't exclusive, after all, we can switch back and forth as we like according to the rules of the game!outwarddoodles wrote:(o'course, I'm starting to pity the Duckie Team myself...)
