Surplus is good for punching paper, but not much else if it groups like that. I used to have a SKS that was the exact opposite. It loved white-box russian surplus, but hated commercial loads! And the old white box (now Wolf) i could get for $1.25 a box! What a deal!
The 8mm is good for anything up to northeastern sized bear (average about 80-120 lbs) and is a really good deer round with decent range. Just about anything you could use the 30-06 for, it would do, and be less expensive too. Good trade if you ask me!

my k98 is full blood german. its the ammo i have for it thats turkish and its not all that great^^Lukas wrote:i know what a K98 is im a German weapons expert
on with the trivia
the Americans used 3 heavy bombers
the B17
the B29
name the 3rd one
also on a note watch out for Russian surplus, they tend to be lower quality
try for K98s straight from turkey, since they tend to have the best quality
