I would imagine that is true. I refer to them as "Isolationist Christians" but that's just the term I gave them. It's irritating to think that someone can be that close-minded about outside ideas. In this case, she is seeing outside influences as evil because "mom says so". I sent her this messege.
Kaebora wrote:Flora-Valita. I have been hearing complaints from many of my very good friends that you have been basiclly calling them evil, and telling them they are mentally unstable for the different things they beleive in.

The purpose of DeviantArt is to comment on "art for art's sake". The imagery portrayed here has the right to bear ideas, concepts, and religous beleifs beyond what we see as true. Comment on an artwork as an artwork, and don't belittle the culture it is backed by. It's called being respectful towards other cultures. Everyone is guilty of some level of disrespect a few times in life, but to do so constantly is a clear sign that you do not belong on the internet.

The internet is for sharing ideas, information, and culture with others. If you can't help but tell everyone that they are wrong, then unplug your modem now and isolate yourself as you already have. Otherwise, have respect for the ideas people bring here. You should have prepared yourself with the fact that not only will you be sharing your ideas, but others will share theirs with you. You don't have to beleive them, but don't insult them by telling them to "seek help". I imagine you would be very mad if someone said that about you.

In this case, I'm asking you to just take my advice, because complaints are being filed against you for harassment on DeviantArt, not from me, but from several dozen people that are offended by your comments. At least do what I do. If you find a post or artwork offensive, don't reply or comment on it. If you want to apply that rule to this messege I've sent you, so be it. However, take to heart the fact that God loves us all. No mater how different we are or what we beleive in. Follow his example, and show love and respect towards everyone. "Love thy neighbor."

In case you are wondering about me, I am a devoted Baptist Christian, am obtaining college degrees in Film and Computer Animation, and travel between my two homes in New Mexico and Texas. I'm a very worldly person, and currently run customer service at a JC Pennys Callcenter. You can see from my experiance that I know what I'm talking about.

(The whole purpose of this post is to save you from getting banned from DeviantArt, and to save my friends from being disrespected.)
My sister's boyfriend has a mom like that. His siblings are still not allowed to eat ice cream or candy, play video games, or even watch cartoons because of the violence. He can't express to me just how GLAD he is to have moved out of that household. Amen to that.

 I am but a daft welshman  Anyways...Lets get this thread back on track!

My Bosses have just told us that we are to be gradually replaced by contractors!!! The bastards have already slipped them into another 'new' department, under our and our unions noses!! Some French contracting firm is going to be handling the paintwork on one of our smaller aircrafts and essentially, running the new paintshop!!!!

And on top of that, they have all of a sudden decided that they are going to enforce a european ruling, resticting us to no more than a 48 hr week. We can now only work 13 hrs O/T per week, as opposed to 36! NOT HAPPY. :x

Roll on my OZ visa application :D

I am very confused as to what your rant is about, Lupin. :?

As for me, I have an infected sinus cavity, and a mild case of bronchitis. Certainly doesn't feel all that "mild" when your lungs are on fire. I've had ths for the last three days, and am missing many days at work. A bad thing when you need the money. I also have to miss college classes today, setting me back with lord knows how much make-up work.

Basically, my job is being taken away, 'gradually'. In a very shadey manner.

You have my simpathy on the sinus thing matey. I went in for an operation on mine on the 10 of December last year. The headaches have stopped. I now don't get infected as much either.

I had mine opened up as the entrances were closing up. Had it done twice now in 18 months. Just glad technology has moved on from when My father had it done in the early 90's. They went in through his Eye Socket!!!! Rahter him than me!!
