I know I ask myself this all the time an I know alot of u do too, so where would you rather be now in life? What would truly make you feel free an happy? List as much as you want please :jester: Kinda sorta a vent thread, but not :Jester3:

For me it would be to have the funds an means to travel all the time in a Mobile Home*knows theres a simplier word for it* :P I want more than anything to be with my mate an do this. I also want to visit an see all the National Parks all around the world. Do some serious camping an hiking through various forest an through the many grassland where the air is truly fresh an clean. I would love to work with wolves an help them to be released into the wild.

I know one thing I'd really love is to do some photography in these locations..ahhs yes that would be great :jester:

Ah yes I did forget to mention the places I'd like to go. One of them would surely be colorado. Not only is Mission Wolf there, but that would be a great place to do some volunteer work to help wolves which I really know I'd enjoy doing :jester: I've always wanted to see Idaho. I've seen some wonderful scenery on tv an this dvd that's called, "WOLVES" One section talks all about the wolves that got released there an wow do they have it made with so many acres of land to run around on :D I'd love to go back to Disney World an Universal Studios again since I was a kid when I first went I didn't get to see much of Florida, so it'd be nice to do that an see Florida too lol Definatly Canada to see nature an hopefully wolves as well

The rest of these just cause :jester:

My cabin in canada, with a laptop-tablet computer... and a free college education wherever I wanted to go. That would be great.

I'd do exactly what I'm hoping to do this summer-

Stay and help with the wolf park. :)
The only thing keeping me from doing it full time is my mate. It will be tough being away from him that long.

Hentai, eh? Given one of our previous conversations, you know you can't pass that off as "erotic art".

To get away from it all, just for a break and for the experience, it wouls have to be Iceland and Canada. Both places I WILL see before I die.

With regards to where I want my life to be. Australia...Perth to be exact. Doing what I'm doing now (jobwise) as I actually enjoy it. If all goes to plan it will happen in the next 2 years.
Well be, thy one. And wisdom too. And grew, and joyed in my growth. From a word to a word, I was led to a word. From a deed...to another deed.

I would choose a variety of locations. The top of my list would include Australia, Japan, and New Zealand. These countries are rich in culture, exotic wildlife, and beautiful landscapes. I would backpack across them all if I could, and would bring back a wallaby joey to hand feed into adulthood. Thus I would have a reliable and very friendly companion for the next decade to live life with. Very strange idea, but appealing to me.

Personally, I dislike Japan's Anime industry. Some may call me a hypocrite for saying so, but I only enjoy the Anime culture it created in america. In my opinion, they haven't made a decent cartoon since 1999. The new stuff is all reused ideas, perverted situational humor, and badly thought out plotlines. (Just my honest opinion, and I'm not attacking anyone but the Japanese writers.) I don't favor Japan for any of their industry, even as impressive as they have become with it. Tokyo City least of all. (Traffic is worse than New York. Ugh!)

Their culture goes much deeper than most of us can imagine without actually visiting. The rual areas hold more interest with me than any video game company they can muster. A stay in a bed and breakfast there makes you wonder why the rest of mankind aren't as hospitible as they are. Mutual respect for not only their fellow countrymen, but also their enemies, customers, tourists, and even complete strangers. From what I've heard from my friends who have visited, the Japanese are more full of life than most of the world. The people there are more than worth the trip. Probobly one of the best countries to vacation to.

If any of you do plan to go to Japan, research some of the sights and places that are less traveled. Most of the tourism sights are empty of the true Japan. Rather than let them put on a show for you, go to such lengths as to find out what the Japanese find interesting and important about their country... and explore that.

Edit: My posts are so long that nobody reads them. :P Or is it because I'm not well known here? ??

I would take White Paw Up to the top of Mount Fuji, to sit in peace and silence as we watch the sun rise, leaving the human world 12,00 ft below

(i'm not trying to get too lovy, This is just another place where we could both feel at peace and be one with the spirits of nature)

I heard what might possibly be the reason for planes to disappear. In that particular area the atmosphere is very unstable resulting in strange weather patterns. Boats may disappear because of large whirlpools an planes from the strong winds an waterspouts that would knock the plane outta the sky..Now all that stuff what happens in the bermuda triangle..Well it might not be what I said, but of the atmosphere is truly unstable that's what comes to mind...*shivers at the thought of getting swallowed by a whirlpool*

Now where did you hear that? I watch weather pattens very carefully, and the Bermuda Triangle is no more unusual than any other place in the world. The reason for planes and boats disappearing isn't weather. It's underground stores of methane bubbling up to the surface. That area has a high concentration of it, and it wreaks havoc with engines as well as brings water up over the decks of boats, which is what causes them to sink.

I've been through there. It's about as exciting as watching paint dry.

Anyhow...I'd go to Africa. See the elephants. My main reason would be to see Egypt, but a lot of the wildlife lives on the savannah. I'd start in the south and work my way north. Africa - especially Egypt - reminds me of home.

I suppose the problem with living somewhere that other people go to "get away from it all" is that there's not really anything much here to get away from, unless you count having a busy but boring "real life" as something worth getting away from.

There is a town about an hour and a half's drive away where I like to go if I want to get away from the mass of people in this "city"... but I'd actually be quite happy spending a couple of weeks in the complete middle of nowhere without seeing another living person. I honestly don't feel any need to have the whole world in my face 7 days a week.

If I wanted to travel... I'd go places to do things, visit people etc. And now I've been on the internet something like 10 years, there's a lot of people I know via the internet that I count as good friends and would really like to visit some time. All over the world, and not just in the obvious, English speaking places... also places like Israel, Costa Rica, the Philippines, etc.

A couple of places I really want to visit for personal / family reasons are Scotland and Samoa.

But otherwise... If I won Big Wednesday tomorrow, I'd probably take a couple of months leave-without-pay and go to America and Canada and visit as many people as I can. Hopefully take in a convention or two, probably a comic-related one. And basically just see how much mischief I can cause before being deported for being a menace to society. But that wouldn't be getting away from things... it would be seeking things out.

Incidentally, this may sound weird, but one thing I've never done, and will probably never do, is actually be around wolves. Not necessarily touch them or anything, but just see them in (as close as possible to) their natural habitat. While I've known about werewolves since I was little... I never knew much about wolves until, when I was a teenager, I watched a documentary about them on TV. Can't remember much about it apart from a good segment on how they communicate, not just audibly or with rough body language but also with facial expressions. I can't explain it quite why... but I've liked wolves since then, some times I almost feel like I have some sort of affinity for them. Nothing I can explain properly, unfortunately... and I know this sounds strange seeing as how I've never actually been in the same country as a wolf, let alone see one in "real life".

And if anyone here ever does manage to visit New Zealand... if you want to shave a few dollars off your expenses you're welcome to use my spare room... although there's practically nothing to do at this end of the country (ask any other New Zealander what's the best thing about Invercargill and they'll say "the airport on the way out"... and even then that's politer than what Mick Jagger said about the town the only time he visited).

(sorry for this ramble, it did go on a bit longer than I expected it to...)
